Operation of HunterLab EasyMatch QC and EasyMatch QC-ER software requires a USB hardware key to operate the software with all of our sensors. It is rare to have any operational issues with this key but here are the most common frequently asked questions.
FAQ: “Ooops – we changed out our old computer for a new system and forgot to take our EZMQC USB hardware key off the old computer. The old computer has left the building and we cannot get it back. What can we do to get our software up and running again?”Contact HunterLab Sales for a hardware key replacement.
FAQ: “We have an older version of EasyMatch QC software but just upgraded to a computer with the latest operating system. When we start of EasyMatch, it does not appear to recognize the hardware key as it used to. Can you advise?”
The driver for the hardware key is installed as part of the EasyMatch QC+ER installation and is appropriate for all PC operating systems available when your version of EZMQC+ER was released. It is likely that the operating system on the PC is newer thanSafeNet Inc. is the manufacturer of the hardware key. Please go to their site and download the latest driver for the SafeNet Sentinel SuperPro and update it on your new computer. Contact HunterLab if this does not resolve the issue.
FAQ: “During EZMQC installation, the installation of the Sentinel Driver for the HunterLab hardware key starts, and then rolls back and gives me a runtime error message. What is happening?”
The reason for the Sentinel driver Install failure is due to another program “LabView” locking out the port location (6001 port) that EasyMatch QC is trying to configure the driver for.
To resolve this problem, have your IT department change the other program to a different port.
